Once the seeding is complete, the solution updates the target with any changes in real time. All data transmitted is encrypted using AES-256 encryption, and compressed using three tiers of bandwidth-saving mechanisms. Through the management console, the target secondary environments are configured and replication begins with a seeding process. First, Carbonite Availability is deployed to all the servers being protected. How it works Carbonite Availability uses patented replication technology to capture changes at the byte level and replicate them between any source and target environment: physical, virtual or cloud. This enables IT to unify its business continuity solution across all platforms in a single solution. To ensure all IT systems are protected, Carbonite Availability can replicate Microsoft Windows or Linux servers on any underlying platform and to any target: physical, virtual or cloud. Physical systems support Physical systems, which are typically critical to operations, are often left out of the disaster preparedness plan. As changes are captured and transmitted at the byte-level, impact to network performance is minimal. Negligible performance impact The production servers protected by Carbonite Availability will not experience any performance degradation due to the replication. The secondary systems spin up and users are rerouted with only a few seconds or minutes of interruption. Rapid failovers prevent downtime In the event of a disaster to one system or an entire data center, a failover to the secondary location can be easily invoked. The software replicates files, applications or an entire server, including its system settings. Once the initial seeding is complete, changes are transmitted in real time, ensuring the replica is in sync. No delays, no data loss Carbonite Availability continuously replicates changes from the source environment into a secondary target anywhere in the world. ![]() With support for physical, virtual or cloud source systems or target environments, Carbonite Availability is a comprehensive replication solution for organizations with mixed IT environments. The software does this using a continuous replication mechanism that maintains a secondary copy without taxing the primary system or network bandwidth. Less easily defined are the potential losses associated with customer loyalty, end user dissatisfaction and competitive positioning.Ĭarbonite Availability Powered by DoubleTake enables IT organizations to maintain the highest availability of their Windows and Linux servers by preventing downtime and data loss. For business systems, lost productivity is similarly costly. ![]() For revenue-generating systems, it’s measured in thousands of dollars every hour. From the relatively rare natural disaster to the more commonplace user errors, malicious attacks or patching problems, IT teams can guarantee that downtime will strike some of their systems every year. ![]() Please download it from app store and let us know your feedback.Downtime strikes IT organizations from a multitude of sources. We just release v4.2.313 which has the feature to view excel, word, pdf and other commonly used file format data. Please consider restoring file access on this app. This has taken me from a 5 star rating to1 star. With the tremendous number of apps that enhance accessibility on mobile devices, why would the developer not continue to allow file access without this extra step. I know that I can forward the files to myself via email or text, but that’s a step back, not an enhancement. Seeing file statistics does not help me at all. Having been able to access the thousands of files while away from my laptop was a tremendous help to my job and especially for customer inquiries. I recently renewed my subscription because I use this mobile app several times daily. We hope that you will continue be a valued customer and look forward to using the updated mobile app. We are happy to announce that Search is back in the latest version (4.0.312) of mobile app which is available in iOS and Android stores for download.Įngineering team is working on additional features such as previews of popular document types and ability to sort by other options than file name and those should be available in next couple of weeks. Reason for the four stars is that the search function is missing, like even the mobile web version has one, please add it back. I’m not sure as to why the app was dead for the past five years or so. ![]() Thanks dev team to bring back this wonderful app, using the site version is just horrendous to use while the app is so much better and uses less resources since you’re not opening a web browser to log in which can be a pain every time.
